The Retreat 2022- Punta Mita
Grab your passports and join us on the beautiful beaches of Punta de Mita, Mexico!
We will be staying at the stunning W Resort in Punta de Mita beginning February 4th through February 8th. We have a variety of experiences that will be coordinated on your behalf should you choose to participate in them. More details on the events you can sign up/pay for are below.
There are two events that we request your attendance at, both of which will be held on site at the hotel. Please plan to be available for these-

Transportation Details
The hotel is located roughly 45 minutes from the airport, so scheduled transportation is highly recommended. We will have coordinated transportation on February 4th for incoming evening flights and February 8th for afternoon outgoing flights. If you signed up for this option, an email confirmation will be sent out by Friday, January 14th to confirm those details.
Should you choose to rent a car, there is complimentary parking at the resort. Here are the recommended car rental companies near by.

If you are not able to utilize the shuttle service because you are staying outside of the standard dates, the hotel offers shuttle service at an additional cost. The price is roughly $110 per 6 person van and can be charged to your room. These reservations must be made no later than February 1st. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in scheduling that.

Staying Connected In Mexico
We’ll be using WhatsApp to stay connected while in Mexico. We’ll use this to remind you about important information and locations for our event(s). We are limited on how many people we can have in the group, so please only add the Intercap Employee, rather than you and your guest.

Restaurants and Spa Services
The Resort has a number of great restaurants on site as well as a wonderful spa. You can click on the links below to view the options that will be available to us. They have offered a 10% discount on spa services booked within our dates. What About Covid?
While it’s clear that COVID is not going away anytime soon, we are still able to safely travel to Mexico with some extra precautions and documentation.
Here are some things to note for our trip-
- Masks are required while in the airport and on the plane
- Masks are required while inside vehicles, restaurants, and stores in Mexico
- A Negative Covid Test is required to re-enter the US. The hotel will be coordinating our Covid tests for us while on site. Each guest will be given a form to fill out upon check in where you will sign up for your test time. These tests must be done 24 hours before your return flight.
Passport Information
Passports are required to visit Punta Mita.
You may have heard about checking your passport validity if it expires at least 6 months post travel dates as an entry requirement, however Mexico is not on the list of countries that require 6 months. As long as your passport is valid through the travel dates you are good to go to Mexico.

Flight Details & Reimbursement
We will be traveling into The Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport or Puerto Vallarta (PVR) on February 4th and departing February 8th. Please book your flights during these dates and follow the instructions below to be reimbursed for them.
As of right now, there are limited direct flights to our destination. Our hope is that as more people travel to Puerto Vallarta, and surrounding areas, they will continue to open up more flights.
Flight reimbursements will be processed on the 25th of each month leading up to the trip in February. As an example, if you submit your reimbursement details on/before October 25th, your request will be processed and a check will be mailed to you within 10 business days of that date. If you submit your reimbursement after October 25th, your request will not be reviewed until the following month on November 25th. All reimbursements for the 2022 trip must be received no later than January 25th.
The flight reimbursement will be $500 per ticket for guests flying out of San Diego, Las Vegas or Phoenix, and $600 for guests flying out of Salt Lake City.
Please note that the only receipts that are reimbursable for this trip are your flight charges. Additional flight charges, baggage fees, flight upgrade fees, transportation costs, meals, and/or activities will not be reimbursed.
You will use the Expense Reimbursement Form 2021 to fill out your request. Once you have filled that out, you will need to save it as a PDF and send it along with your flight receipts. You will need to upload ONE PDF. The Accounting Team will not process any request for reimbursement that is not sent along with the form below. Please do not email them directly.
